Logical Layer

The Casbah Virtual Namespace employs Overlay Mounts, which provide a "logical" view of the hierarchy, while preserving a physical view underneath. As far as typical usage of the hierarchy goes, /local, /core, and /users/foo go away and you only see "/", Everything from /users/foo gets "overlayed" on top of /local, and that gets overlayed on top of /core.
